Jennifer L. Fessler is an associate of GTPP and focuses her intellectual property practice on domestic and international trademark and copyright matters. In particular, Jennifer has experience in the selection, clearance, and adoption of trademarks, as well as the prosecution of trademark and copyright applications, in the United States and throughout the world. Jennifer also provides counseling on a wide range of trademark and copyright related matters, such as licensing and enforcement as well as defending against accused infringement and settlement negotiations.

Jennifer also focuses her practice on the overlap between the Internet and intellectual property, with special emphasis on domain name registrations and transfers, domain name disputes, cybersquatting, online copyright and brand identity disputes, and trademark use in virtual worlds such as Second LifeŽ.

Jennifer received her J.D. in 2006 from Southern New England School of Law, where she served as a Law Review Editor and was the Secretary for the Student Bar Association as well as the Legal Association for Women. She went on to receive her Master of Laws in Intellectual Property degree in 2007 from Franklin Pierce Law Center. While attending Pierce Law she was a member of the Amicus Clinic where she was a contributor to an Amicus Brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in the case KSR International Co. v. Teleflex Inc.

Jennifer is a member of the Connecticut Bar and is a member of several professional associations including the International Trademark Association (INTA). Jennifer is a New Hampshire resident and her hobbies include interior decorating, writing, baking, and antiquing.
