Beth Ann Filip bfilip@gtpp.com Beth Ann Filip is an associate of GTPP specializing in patent matters related to plastic materials, textiles, mechanical devices, and a broad range of molding processes such as injection molding, multi-component molding and extrusion. Beth concentrates on technical and legal research and is involved in the preparation of national and international patent applications and reports on patentability, infringement and validity. Prior to entering law school, Beth worked in GE Plastics’ Polymer Processing Development Center and Optical Media Development Center, where she focused on developing manufacturing processes for a variety of engineering thermoplastics and silicones. Beth received her B.S. in Plastics Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 1999 and has taken graduate courses in the area of engineering design. Beth received her J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2004 and became a member of the Massachusetts Bar in 2005. Beth co-authored a paper entitled "Ten Things Plastics Engineers Should Know about Intellectual Property" with founding partner Steven J. Grossman, which was presented at the Society for Plastics Engineers 2005 Annual Technical Conference. Beth currently resides in New Hampshire with her family. |
