GTPP Successful In USPTO Interference Proceedings
In an interference proceeding before the U.S.P.T.O, GTPP attorneys Steve Grossman and Beth Filip recently received a favorable determination for GTPP’s client, T.F.H. Publications, Inc., that the opposing party’s patent claims were obvious and therefore unpatentable, leading to a cancellation of U.S. Patent No. 6,408,797 under 35 USC § 135(a). See, Memorandum Opinion & Order, Patent Interference 105,507 JL (March 11, 2008). An appeal has been filed by the patent owner at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and GTPP will now be handling the appeal. .
