GTPP to Host Exhibit at ANTEC® 2011, May 2-4, 2011
Grossman, Tucker, Perreault & Pfleger, PLLC (GTPP) is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting at the Society of Plastics Engineers annual conference, ANTEC®. This three day conference will take place May 2-4, 2011 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. The Society of Plastics Engineers is an organization dedicated to educating and promoting the plastics industry and its annual conference, ANTEC, enjoys a global reputation for excellence.
GTPP is well suited to participate in this international event. In fact, plastics is one of GTPP’s specialty areas, along with polymer science and polymer chemistry. Our team of attorneys and professionals includes two patent attorneys who are graduates of the UMass Lowell Plastics Engineering Department, an attorney who is a faculty member in the Department, and a patent agent with over thirty-five years of experience in the automotive plastics industry. GTPP’s unique level of knowledge in these areas allows us to bring unparalleled technical depth to our intellectual property representation.
In addition to hosting an exhibit, three attorneys from GTPP have been selected to present technical papers during the Marketing and Management Session for Innovation and IP on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Associate Beth A. Filip and Partner Steven J. Grossman, Ph.D. will be presenting an informative discussion entitled: “Recent Procedures Introduced to Challenge Patent Grants at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.” In addition, Associate Jennifer L. Morris will present on the “hot topic” of trademark genericism during a discussion entitled “How Polyamide Became Known as Nylon: An Examination of Trademark Genericism and Its Effects on the Plastics Industry.”
We encourage all those in the plastics industry to attend this global event and stop by GTPP’s exhibit booth for an informal one-on-one conversation with our trademark and patent attorneys.
